- Install iOS 5 beta 2 on your iPad 2. It is recommended to use Xcode however, you can also install using iTunes 10.5
- Install iOS 5 beta on your Apple TV. You are required to tether it to your computer using a USB to micro USB cable. Better to use Xcode.
- Please confirm that your iPad 2 and Apple TV are on the same Wi-Fi network
- From your iPad 2 open Facetime
- Double click the Home button to bring up the Fast App Switcher.
- Swipe from left to right to get to the AirPlay button.
- Tap AirPlay and select Apple TV as the source.
- Toggle Mirroring to On.
And you are done with now you should be able to use Facetime on big screen.
