Click here to find out more! iPhone 4S battery issue points to Setting Time Zone switch

If you’re one of the masses of iPhone users that’ve upgraded to the iPhone 4S in the past few weeks, you may well have been experiencing some battery issues – today we may well have the answer as to why. As we’ve seen this past week, quite a few people have had what they’ve described as less than stellar battery life with their iPhone 4S, and this weekend we’ve not only been handed a possible solution, we’ve tested it for ourselves, and what do you know, it appears very much to work: just switch your Setting Time Zone switch to off!

Inside your System Services in your Settings on your iPhone 4S, you’ve only to look down the list until you find “Setting Time Zone” and the switch beside it – flip it to OFF. What we’ve found thus far after making this switch is that standby time has gone up significantly. Inside three hours, the iPhone 4S has only used 5% of its total battery life. Sixty hours of standby, is that you? We’ll see!
The tip to make this happen to increase battery life comes from iDownload where Oliver Haslam notes that the bug likely lives inside iOS 5, not necessarily the iPhone 4S hardware. There while the Setting Time Zone appears to be tracking constantly instead of simply periodically, battery time is cut down, and down, and down. The’ve done some tests as well:
“We have tested this method on 4 different iPhone 4s handsets, including an iPhone 4 and an iPhone 3GS. All have reported drastically improved battery life after switching ‘Setting Time Zone’ off.” – Haslam
The only thing you’re losing by switching the Setting Time Zone function off is the automatic re-setting of your time if you cross the boarder into a different time zone – when you’re flying to Grandma’s house for the holidays. If you DO decide to try it out, be sure to let us know how it goes.
UPDATE: Another test on the iPhone 4S yields 80% battery after over seven hours with one and a half hours of that time in use. I think we have a winner!

"Flood" complain about the quality of the iPhone battery 4S

Short battery life of smartphone users are causing "mad".
Just military but of the youngest iPhone 4S is facing a series of negative feedback. Most recently, users constantly complain about the battery life of handsets. Many people predicted adverse impacts iOS 5 batteries and can not overcome.

The Forum of Apple customer support, myriad fan recorded messages complaining. Members Scarface pressing "Battery of the iPhone 4S terrible, terrible with consumption so it really is like the 3G."

"Flood" complain about the quality of the iPhone battery 4S
Users continue for von Richardfrombromley: "Compared with my previous mobile, the battery life of iPhone 4S indeed a lot worse." The humor also added: "Since the start using the iPhone 4S, I have the opportunity to experience a phone with a pin drop in speed so fast."

Everywhere, customers also expressed disappointment: "The quality of the iPhone 4S battery is so boring. Every hour, the battery can be reduced from 10 to 15%. I fully charged battery at 8h20 am, 12:15 and pin now remain only 53%. "

"Flood" complain about the quality of the iPhone battery 4S

Experts do not miss the opportunity to "throw stones", with contents like: "iPhone 4S too bad. Before going to bed it is best to check the battery and charging soon, because even when I was 50%, the iPhone can still "dead in the night" but you never know ... ".

Nate Lanxon, Wired.co.uk page editor wrote on Twitter: "Pin the iPhone 4S reduced to 75% after 1 hour 50 minutes from full charge. Hard to imagine. "

Besides complaints, users are also looking for remedies. If you turn off all notification function, you will notice significant changes. Also, you can backup (backup) device and restore (restore) after backup.

In general, defects, battery life can be resolved during the next update iOS 5. But believers "apple defects" need to wait a while longer Nhe!

The story of the case for the iPhone 5

There is a story today that is quite fun if you look around the Shenzhen market, you can find many sample case protection for iPhone 5 . Although this phone has not been formally introduced and carried out, we still do not know for sure that it exists or not. The range of manufacturers make accessories for the iPhone 5 makes it raises a question whether the design of this handset has been leaked? In Shenzhen, we also have a pretty good information that is needed is an accurate model of the iPhone 5 have been smuggled out of the market and has provided the purchaser with price is $ 3.124. Immediately after the template is the "cooperative" has been very responsive to a series of sample case for this phone.

Unknown how the damage but if the design of the iPhone 5 as this truth is also great. However, Apple could also change the design at the last minute, nothing is predictable. Previously, the iPad 2 is about to introduce a series of plastic case makes the iPad 2 in China have emerged and it is sold both at CES2011 and it has resulted reflect the characteristics of the iPad 2 .

I strongly believe in design because it is very similar to the information revealed so far. If you are a regular monitoring information on the iPhone 5 probably will find it familiar.

Coming Soon?

(Danke, Mirko!)

Twitter sammelt Neuanmeldungen und Datenschätze

IPhoneBlog de Twitter Sign In

Twitter is currently processing more than 250 million tweets per day and has more than 100 million global active users, more than half of which log in every day.

Zum Morgenkaffee: ‘The Early Edition 2′

DirektEarly

Grundsätzlich gilt: Die App tut, was sie verspricht.

Apropos Nachrichten-Konsum: “How people use tablets and what it means for the future of news.” sind lesenswerte Umfrageergebnisse der Tablet iPad-Benutzung:

A plurality of tablet news users (40%) say they get their news mainly through a web browser. Another 31% use news apps and the browser equally, while fewer, 21%, get their news primarily through apps.

Microsofts ganzer Stolz: das Android-Lizenzprogramm

IPhoneBlog de Android

According to ABI, Android has much bigger install base compared to iOS, with 2.4 users for every iOS user worldwide. […] But even with the bigger footprint, iOS users still download more apps individually than average Android users by a 2 to 1 ratio.

More important, today’s announcement means that companies accounting for more than half of all Android devices have now entered into patent license agreements with Microsoft.

(Danke, Thomas!)

Ohne Frage: Noch holpert Apples neues System.

Future Publishing racked up more than two million container downloads in the first four days after Apple unveiled its Newsstand functionality as part of its iOS 5 update.

Future Publishing ist mit 55 Zeitschriften in Apples Newsstand vertreten. Future-CEO Mark Wood fügt der Meldung hinzu: “Future had sold more digital editions in the past four days through Apple’s Newsstand than in a normal month.”

In other words, for Future, this is the difference between Zinio and iTunes Store rather than between pre- and post-Newsstand.

So, thanks, Marco. You’ve made my life better by making it easier to decide to read. Then, you made it way easier to do the actual reading.

iPhone 4s vs iPhone 4

The most awaited iPhone 5 has been delayed and iPhone 4S is instead launched by the Apple recently. Since this handset is much alike to the iPhone 4 created by Apple only, it can be taken as a modified version of the same. There are some changes and some similarities in these handsets and you should check out the comparison to make a better purchase.

The processor :

To start with the processor of these Apple iPhones, both of them have the same processor. It is impossible to distinguish the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S with its processor as there is not a single difference in them. It was highly expected that the processor would be bit thinner or lighter, but leaving all the expectations behind, it has not been given any change or modification. However, the Apple claims that the iPhone 4S is 3G lighter than the iPhone 4 but it has not been confirmed yet.

The hardware :

The hardware of iPhone 4S is A5 dual core in comparison to the single core of iPhone 4. You can enjoy up to seven times faster graphics through this revised hardware. This definitely makes a huge difference in the performance of the iPhone 4S and proves it to be a better option for making a purchase.

The software :

Talking about the software, you can find an upgraded software in iPhone 4S in form of IOS 5. The earlier version, iPhone 4 was equipped with IOS 4. This difference would enable you to enjoy some good features like a notifications centre, improved lock screen, Imessage for instant messages and better Twitter integration which was not possible in iPhone 4 with IOS 4.

The camera :

The iPhone 4 was equipped with 4MP camera which is revised to 8MP camera in its latest version iPhone 4S. This camera can provide you better pictures during day as well as during night or low light. The efficiency of this camera has been tested and proved to be good enough to capture good quality videos during bad light or weather. This was surely not possible with the iPhone 4. The face detection feature has also been introduced in this latest version which was absent in the previous model.

Storage :

The iPhone 4S is given a big storage capacity so that you may store and view your memorable pics and videos anytime and anywhere. This capacity has been increased from 32 GB of iPhone 4 to 64 GB of iPhone 4S. You can also find these iPhone models with 16 GB and 32 GB storage capacities.

Antenna and connectivity :

The iPhone 4 was having some antenna issues which have been sorted out in its latest version iPhone 4S. Two antennas have been provided with iPhone 4S for better connectivity and call quality. The iPhone 4 is having LTE technology which has been upgraded to HSDPA technology in iPhone 4S. This makes the iPhone 4S better with 3G speed.

In every term, the iPhone 4S is much better than the iPhone 4. If you are planning to make an immediate purchase of an iPhone, it would be better to go through all the features and than decide the best one for the requirement. With some similarities and some upgradations, iPhone 4S is not a bad deal for anyone.

The body of Samsung Galaxy S II is made of plastic in comparison to the glass and metal body of iPhone 4S but both of these handsets look very elegant, stylish and worthy.

The look of Samsung Galaxy S II is pretty much different to its earlier version Samsung Galaxy S whereas the iPhone 4S looks pretty much alike to its earlier version iPhone 4.

Screen :

The iPhone 4S has a screen of 3.5 inches with resolution of 640×960. The other handset, Samsung Galaxy S II, has a bigger screen of 4.3 inches with WVGA resolution of 800×480. If you compare both the screens in terms of quality, you will find Samsung Galaxy S II much better than iPhone 4S. The bigger screen and the better resolution of Samsung Galaxy S II make it a winner.

Hardware :

The hardware is the heart of any handset. It is important to know the efficiency and quality of the hardware. The iPhone 4S has A5 SoC with CortexA9 dual core. This system runs at a very powerful PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy S II is powered by Exynos 4210 SoC with 1.2 GHz Cortex – A9. This is a dual core processor with ARM- Mali 400MP GPU.

In this care, the Samsung Galaxy S II wins the race with its powerful GPU and dual core processor. Its hardware is much better than the iPhone4S and so you can trust its hardware without any doubt.

The camera installed in iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S II is of 8 MP along with LED flash. The only difference in the camera is that the aperture size of the camera in iPhone 4s is of 2.4 whereas the aperture size of the camera in Samsung Galaxy S II is 2.65. The iPhone 4S has a face recognition feature which makes it a good camera. However, if you want good and clear pictures in low light, you can trust upon iPhone 4S very easily as it can give you clear pictures in bad light or during night. The videos of iPhone 4S are also much better than the Samsung Galaxy S II.

Definitely both the handsets have different features which cannot be compared; it is very difficult to make a clear cut decision about the winner.
