LeafROM for the Samsung Replenish shows Android developers love them all

Android Central
You would think that an Android phone like the Samsung Replenish wouldn't draw much attention from independent Android developers, but you would be wrong.  Android Central ROM developer Shabbypenguin and his cohorts in the ACS have cranked out the beta version of LeafROM for the little eco-friendly Sprint qwerty phone and it already has a great set of features in place.  Besides being theme-friendly and debloated, things like the Gingerbread malware patch have been added, and things like "rescue server" (regarded as a carrier tracking app) have been removed.  If you picked up a Replenish, and want to have the Android experience of rooting and hacking away at it, you need to have a look.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro checks in at the FCC

Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro
It has been quite a while since Sony Ericsson officially announced the Xperia Pro. In that time we've seen bits and pieces of info here and there about it being launched in the UK but now its been featured in a full blown FCC review. It's still missing those glorious 3G bands for the US but it does come with 900MHz and 2100MHz HSPA making it prime for those of you across the pond.

Jailbreak iOS 4.3.4 (tethered) on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad and iPod Touch 3G and 4G

We all Apple lovers were waiting for the jailbreak of iOS 4.3.4, and yes, it comes to an end! Jailbreak iOS 4.3.4 works on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, and iPod Touch third and forth generation.
Jailbreak iOS 4.3.4 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad and iPod Touch 3G and 4GAs mentioned this is Tethered Technique and Untethered will take its time to arrive, till then we can use this and have our work done. Apple has just launched iOS 4.3.4. After a security update from Apple for its devices to close a security hole which was used by hackers to jailbreak the iPad 2 & other devices, it is tricky to use this method, still you can patch that security hole by installing the application from Cydia which is known as PDF Patcher 2.
Whatsoever if You want to have iOs 4.3.4 any damn way.. Here we goes.. Let me repeat one thing again, Folks it’s a tethered jailbreak that means you have to connect your Apple Device to a Computer and run the software anytime you reboot. If you are done with that, then you will need to grab the latest version of redsn0w and look for “Update 3” (for Mac, for Windows). The only reason to recommend redsnOw is it works with both Windows and Mac O.S.
We know that everybody is not GEEKS! So we come up with simple and easy step wise procedure for your jailbreak. So get, set and go….
First of all open the Redsn0w (N.B:- Windows Vista/7 users need to set compatibility as XP SP3, and run RedsnOw as Administrator.)
  1. Start by clicking on browse and find the 4.3.4 firmware file for your device.
  2. Click on next and let the firmware get processed.
  3. Now check the “Install Cydia”.
  4. Click on next, and it will appear that, “Make sure that your device is turned off. Prepare for DFU mode.”
  5. Click on next again, and then follow the DFU mode instructions.
  6. Now the process to jailbreak your device will get started.
  7. When the process will get completed, you will get notice that you cannot open Safari or Cydia. Need not to worry as this is very normal for a tethered jailbreak.
  8. It’s time to open redsn0w and follow steps 1 to 3 and then check “Just boot tethered for now”
  9. Follow the DFU instructions, and then it will start booting your device again. This time, you will notice Cydia and Safari is working.
Congrats, you have Jailbreaked iOS 4.3.4. One thing you don’t forget buddy is that this one is tethered jailbreak, which means if your device turns off or reboots, you need to boot tethered with steps 9.
Better bookmark this page and get it any time you need.
